The Cream Legbar is the classic blue-egg layer, a British breed prized for eggs in shades of sky blue to soft blue-green. Hens are elegant birds with soft silver-gray and cream feathers, a warm salmon breast, and a jaunty little crest on top of the head. They lay about 180–200 medium-to-large eggs a year and rarely go broody. They’re alert, active, and excellent foragers that love to free-range, so they do best with room to roam. Cream Legbars are autosexing, which means chicks can be sexed by their markings at hatch, so you can count on getting a hen.
